Join us as we delve into the ongoing message series, "Questions of Jesus," where we explore the profound and sometimes challenging questions Jesus posed to those around Him. In this episode, we reflect on a particularly poignant question from Matthew 15:16: "Are you also still without understanding?"We examine the context behind Jesus' frustration with His disciples' lack of comprehension, and draw parallels to the modern-day church. Despite having access to God's Word, many believers and church leaders still struggle to fully grasp its teachings. We discuss how this lack of understanding manifests in various denominations and explore the broader implications for the church today. From addressing the controversies surrounding Pope Francis to examining the liberal trends in Protestantism and non-denominational churches, we confront the difficult questions and call for a return to scriptural fidelity and deeper understanding. This episode challenges us to re-evaluate our own spiritual insights and strive for a more faithful adherence to God's Word.

Last week, we looked at the question Jesus posed to two blind men who came to Him to be healed. He asked, “Do you believe I can do this?” Their answer was a resounding Yes! This week, we look at a very familiar story where Jesus is walking on water and approaches the disciples, who are in a boat in a tempestuous sea. Peter asks to walk to Jesus on the sea, and Jesus invites him. He steps out of the boat onto the surface of the raging waters but then begins to doubt. Like Peter, we all have struggles with doubt, and this message provides helpful insights into how to deal with it effectively.

Why did the duck cross the road? To get to the other side of course. But how we treat a duck crossing the road ought to convict us as to how we treat people who are in harms way because they don’t know Jesus.

Thursday May 02, 2024

Sometimes God will stretch us with decisions that require a leap of faith. It can be scary to take that leap of faith, but we will never experience the joy of walking on water unless we’re first willing to step out of the boat in faith and follow Jesus.

Some people say, God works in mysterious ways…others talk about God winks, and yet others are just out and out miracles you decide which one this falls into, but either way you’ll be encouraged by the story

Sunday Apr 21, 2024

We're opening a new 12-week sermon series today, taking a look at questions Jesus asked in the course of teaching those who followed Him. We begin with the topic of worry, a habit we all have, and on deeper probing, realize it is far more pervasive in our lives than we would like to admit. Whether you’ve only said it to yourself or admitted it to someone else, you’ve inevitably said something like, “I HAVE to worry! If I don’t, I’ll be left hanging!” Jesus wants to teach us otherwise. He addresses the hearers of His day with the very thing we find ourselves doing in modern times, and Pastor Greg walks us through what Jesus taught as a path to freedom from worry.
