A Masquerade is when someone or something pretends to be what it is not. Masks as our protector from getting sick has become a masquerade for our culture and a false sense of health security.

All throughout our lives and throughout history it looks at times like God is not in control only to realize later that He was in control all along.

One thing Christians talk about is not trying to fight the enemy on your own: they've had thousands of years of practice, and you need God's help to make it through. We so seldom flip the switch and talk about how God has had thousands of years of practice, too, and how He proves over and over again that He's worthy of our praise, admiration, adoration, and trust. Courage - integrity - Justice

What this world needs today is people that have courage and integrity and justice. It is time for us as a society to lift these qualities and characteristics up and celebrate them rather than the garbage we normally celebrate.

Mysterious Encounters: Samson and the Spirit of God

When you think of Samson in the Bible, you picture a buff guy fighting: bulging muscles, bronze tan, long hair, angry face... except the Bible never describes Samson except for the part about cutting his hair! What the Bible DOES say is that God's Spirit filled him with power.
Wherever you are today, whatever you're facing: God is able and willing to give you the guidance and strength (in more ways than one) to overcome your struggles when you rely on Him and focus on maintaining a temple that's ready for Him to reside in. Today we study how Samson did that, and how you can, too.
