This sermon takes a look at common conclusions and views, such as God always being angry, bipolar, unpredictable, unforgiving, or worse yet, just scattered, stand-offish, or even non-existent. But rather than just listing common assumptions, we will explore who God REALLY is because He tells us in His Word. It helps us know He is in no way who you might be tempted to assume He is. These barriers, whether they be doubts, distractions, or deep-seated fears, can gradually erode our faith and distance us from the vibrant relationship with Christ that we are called to cultivate. Together, we'll identify these spiritual impediments, confront them with the truth of God's Word, and learn how to dismantle them, so we can continue to grow in faith, deepen our trust in God's promises, and live out our calling as His followers without hesitation or compromise.

Holy Spirit - (“The Voice-When God Speaks” Week 5 of 5)

Today, as we conclude this series, hopefully, it will have brought you to a greater awareness that God actively speaks to us. And just because it doesn’t come in the form of a booming voice from the sky, it does not mean God has not spoken. Knowing that is the case, we turn our attention to how the Holy Spirit communicates, using examples from what He did in directing first-century believers. On several occasions, God used the Holy Spirit to guide the Apostle Paul on specific mission tasks and led Phillip to bring a eunuch to Christ. And today we’ll look at still other examples. The common denominator here is that the Holy Spirit can speak to us when we are willing to listen. Join us as we look at how to do this in greater depth.
