Paul and Silas in Prison (“Stranger Things” Week 12)

Paul and Silas were working as missionaries in Macedonia when they encountered a fortune-telling slave girl. Paul cast out the spirit within her causing her master to bring Paul and Silas to the authorities for loss of income from her services. They were thrown in prison, and through uncanny events, the jailer and all those around him come to faith in Christ. It is an amazing story of how God works using unexpected events to save souls.

Peter’s Escape from Prison (“Stranger Things” Week 10)

Here’s the story: Peter has been put in a high-security prison by Herod the King and is inevitably going to be tried and put to death the next day. He is also chained to two cell guards to make escape impossible. But God has other plans for Peter and sends an angel who miraculously appears, touches Peter’s chains and they fall off, and leads him out of the heavily guarded prison without anyone noticing! It’s a story of God accomplishing His purposes amid what seems like hopeless circumstances!

The “unholy days” are upon us

June is no holiday or “holy day”, though for some people it is. God help us.

Peter’s Vision (“Stranger Things” Week 9)

For 2100 years, Peter, as a Jew, had been told, you are different, you are better, you are set apart from all other nations. Jesus promised a day would come…after they received the Holy Spirit…that the disciples were to take the gospel outside Jerusalem…all the way to the ends of the earth. But it can’t be easy to break what Jews had believed for over two centuries, so in Peter’s case, Jesus does it with a vision of a sheet being let down from heaven. Join us as we look at what was in the sheet, and how the vision prepared Peter to spread the gospel to the world!

If you don’t have anything nice to say…

What is going right in society right now? It’s time for us to start living like Christians and letting every aspect of our life be influenced by our faith. Only when we live out our faith daily will we see the problems in modern society begin to trend back into a more positive direction.

The Conversion of Paul (“Stranger Things” Week 8)

From Saul to Paul. From enemy to evangelist. From comfortable to hardworking. We often think of Saul as a misinformed but devoted God-follower, but Jesus Himself had firm words against the Pharisees, decrying them as evil. The supernatural appearance of Jesus to Paul completely turned his life around, and the same God is changing lives today. Join us as we dive into understanding who Saul was, and what a stark difference should be noticeable Before Christ and After Christ in our own lives!

Time to redefine Christianity

Just because a church or denomination calls themselves Christian does not make them Christian. We are in need another Reformation in order to clarify what is Christian and what is not.
